Long-form personal finance and investing journalism with documented methodology and zero affiliate-driven ratings.
FinanceMatter is a personal-finance publication built on a simple conviction: ordinary financial decisions deserve the same rigour the industry reserves for itself. Since 2015 we have written long-form, carefully sourced journalism about saving, borrowing, investing, and the products that sit in between.
We write for the reader, not the advertiser. Our audience is the person trying to choose a savings account, understand a pension statement, or work out whether a financial product is genuinely good or merely well-marketed. We assume intelligence, not expertise.
Every guide and review is built on a documented methodology that we publish openly. We show our working: where the numbers come from, what we tested, and what we deliberately left out. When a topic is uncertain, we say so rather than manufacturing false confidence.
Our contributors are journalists and analysts with backgrounds in consumer finance, economics, and reporting. Each author page sets out their beat and experience, and we credit every byline honestly.
FinanceMatter is a publisher, not an adviser. We do not sell products, manage money, or give personalised recommendations. For the precise limits of our content, please read our Legal Disclaimer.
